PRODUCT DESCRIBTION

Lok5001 is a water based PU based adhesive which had been designed for bonding textiles, plastics, rubber and particularly wood.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Lok5001 may be used for bonding vinyl using a membrane press or vacuum forming. It can also be used for applications where high vinyl adhesion is required with high heat and water resistance.

METHODS OF APPLICATION

• All wood substrates sould be conditioned at room temperature at 6-9% moiture content.
• Spraying can be accomplished using conventional equipment with fluid pressure of 15-20 psi and air pressure of 75-100 psi.
• Minimum activation temperature 70 C but optimum bonding occcurs 75-80 C. For extra heat and water resistance use Catalyst 1015.
• Optimum open time is less than 24 hours.
• Press time will vary from frm 30 seconds to 4 minutes depending on temperature, vinyl and adhesive thickness.

PRODUCT HANDLING - STORAGE

To ensure safe storage of this emulsion, containers should be well sealed to prevent the water evaporation and skin forming. The emulsion must be stored between 5-25 C for a maximum of 6 months and freezing must be avoided.
